Ten teams of six (including one from RN Mossela) arrived at the prolific venue of Maver Larford lakes, Worcs on Tuesday 11th August 2009.

Teams were split onto two lakes, with three sections on the Match lake and three on the Speciman lake.

Very hot weather on match day and the Maver Festival for the full week before ensured conditions were not going to be as good as they normally are. As a team we struggled resulting in 9th position overall, PO Al Jones (HMS Astute) had our highest weight overall with 53lb 15oz from the Speciman lake. WO1 Hughie Welsh had the 2nd highest weight for the team from Match lake with 39lb 10oz.
