This years event was held on Sat 8th August 2009, on three seperate canals. Staffs/Worcs, Shropshire Union and the Trent/Mersey were the venues.

Despite a weeks practice which produced positive results on all three of the above canals it was a desperate result on match day. RN Mossela as the match team are now known as by the Anglers Trust were relegated into Division 2 (for the first time in 14 years). This results was a combination of factors, a poor draw was clearly evident and many of our more experienced anglers were not available through no fault of thier own. Our only two results of note were from PO Chris Yates 56 Points (HMS St Albans) and CPO Keith Massheder 50 Points (HMS Heron). Shakespeare Redditch were crown champions and the individual winner was Dave Trafford from Mossela Lockstock Tackle B with a weight of 12kg 340gm. Next year the Division 2 National is on Sat 10th July 2010. The Erawash canal that runs through Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire has been chosen as the venue. Rounds 1 and 2 of the Inter-command will both be held on the Erawash canal, as well as the practice week this, is to gear us up for a rapid return to Division 1.
