Willow Lakes on Tuesday 21st October 2009, was the venue for the 4th and final round ot the Inter-Command Champsionships 2009, three sections were fished on both small and middle lakes. Once again another excellent effort put in by all Command reps resulted in 25 anglers attening. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the NAC could not field a full team, thus ruling them out of the team competition.

It was now between the RM's who held a 2pt lead over Plymouth. Still having to endure the cold weather this was compounded by the blustery strong winds and intermittent showers and resulted in poor weights for such a prolific venue. CPO Nick Jones, HMS Tireless was the winner of the match with a superb weight of 81lb 8oz, CPO Keith Massheder, RNAS Yeovilton was runner up with 31lb 15oz, both these members were from the advanced category. CPL Pete Klein ws the intermediate winner with 19lb 6oz and Sgt Nige Roberts was runner up with 17lb 10oz. CPO Steve Irvine was the novice winner 7lb 11oz.

Overall the team competition was won by a single point, with the Royal Marines piping Plymouth with a final score of 17pts. Plymouth 16pts, NAC 14pts, Scotland 8pts and Portsmouth 3 pts.

CPO Mick Ezard, HMS Superb is the Inter Command Champion for 2009 with a perfect record of 4 section wins giving him the maximum 20 points, Well done Mick! CPO NICK Jones and CPO Keith Massheder were joint runners up with 18pts.
