Match Details and the Draw
- The match on Sat 12th June 2010 will take place at Boddingtons Reservoir, Nr Byfield, Northamptonshire, NN11 6UD. Pegs 66-100 have been booked for this match (these are the best pegs on the reservoir). The draw will take place at the venue at 0900. All in will be at 1100 and we will fish until 1700.
- The match on Sun 13th June 2010, will take place at Clattercote Reservoir, Nr Claydon, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX17 1DR. The bailiff has kindly let us have pegs 1-54 (one side of the reservoir) again these are the favoured pegs at the venue. As people may well have a long distance to travel home the all-in will be at 1000 fishing until 1500. The draw will take place at the venue at 0800. On completion of the match a prize awarding ceremony will take place at the campsite.
- The event will be both a team and individual competition. The individual winner will be decided by section results over the two days of matches. In the event of a tie, weight will decide the outcome. The team event winners will be decided by a cumulative team total of section results, all four anglers to count. In the event of a tie, the winners will be decided by the total number of section wins over the two day competition. Section scores will be high to low and will be dependent on numbers of anglers per section. Although not expected, zero will be scored for a blank.
- Both venues will allow anglers to practice at a fee of £6 per day. These fees will be collected by the bailiff at the bank on the day of fishing (there is no requirement to pre-book).
- All entrants will receive at least one prize at the award giving ceremony. The more successful you are the better the prize! Trophies will be awarded to the Winner and Runner Up of both the Service and Associate sections of the event. A trophy will also be awarded to the winning team of four anglers. All trophies and prizes will be awarded at the campsite as it is only 1 mile from Clattercote Reservoir.
- The cost of entry for this two day event will be £15 for each angler. This Association will cover the match day pegging fees and prizes. Peg fees for both matches amount to £13 (you really are getting great value for your annual membership of £20). The cost of camping pitches or overnight accommodation is the responsibility of the individual; as is the day ticket cost of any practice days at either venue. Pools will be £10 per person per day. This will be divided between individual and section pools. Payout will be dependent on numbers, 100% of the pools will be paid out.
- Anita's Caravan Park, The Yews, Mollington, Banbury, Oxon, OX17 1AZ is a camping and caravanning site with toilets and free shower facilities. This is an ideal location for both fishing venues. An early booking is advised, particularly if you require an electrical hook-up. Below is a tariff which does not include the heated Pods that will be installed for when we visit at an approximate price of £38 per night (subject to change).
- Both lakes are run on commercial fishery lines and consequently have the normal rules expected of a commercial venue. No nets on non-match days, Barbless hooks only. Nuts and Chickpeas and braided hook-lengths are banned.
- Both venues are prolific on their day. There is too much information to list, therefore I advise any interested personnel to visit the venue websites:
- Two good tackle shops I have contacted will be able to meet all our requirements, these have been recommended by the Boddington reservoir water bailiff: Both tackle shops are 5 miles away from the campsite.
- The following pub guide has been kindly put together by Anita, our host at the campsite.
- Below are just a few pubs that I know of but there are many more you will happen on while exploring so enjoy your culinary adventure and have a great time doing it!
- Anita's Caravan Park is on the main A423 road 4 miles from Banbury. From the M40 leave at junction 11 then take the A422 towards Banbury then the A423 to Southam. 4 miles from Banbury just 50 yards past Mollington signpost turn left into lay-by, signposted "Mollington Caravan Park".
- Anybody who has any queries reference the above calling notice can contact me on my e-mail address below. Please take into account I cannot answer all e-mails straight away as I actually do have a full time job which every now and then involves going to sea!

| Mollington | The Green Man | 01295 - 750692 |
| This pub is less than five minutes walk from the campsite. Our village pub only opens at 7pm each day and I would have to say we are disappointed to say they don't cook every day and so cannot guarantee consistency of service ...... so please phone if you wish to eat there. | ||
| Warmington | The Plough | 01295 - 690666 |
| A real 'pubby pub' if you know what I mean. Low beams and lots of cobwebs. There's not many about like this. Always have a roaring fire in the winter months. Great atmosphere. Good food always available | ||
| Warmington | The Wobbly Wheel | 08709 - 906512 |
| This is on the B100 just beyond Warmington at the top of the hill. A Brewers Fayre pub and inn which caters very well for families. Good value for money and very good service. Plenty of parking too. | ||
| Farnborough | The Inn | 01295 - 690615 |
| This pub is a little bit more sophisticated and should suite the more discerning amongst us! Food is excellent and a lovely ambiance. Nice village; you can walk it from Mollingtom across the fields. | ||
| Avon Dassett | The Avon | 01295 - 690270 |
| A nice village pub that has a good menu. I think it boasts 64 ways to serve a pie! Now there's an achievement! During the summer they have live music and often have barbeques in the garden. | ||
| Cropredy | The Red Lion | 01295 - 750224 |
| This pub is hard to find but well worth the effort; behind the church up a tight lane so be careful with the car!! They strive to please and the food is inventive and tasty. They do a great fish & chip takeaway some evenings so give them a call. | ||
| Cropredy | The Brasenoes | 01295 - 750244 |
| Over the years there has been many landlords that have come and gone and so there have been differing reports of there service and food. I believe there has recently been a chef change and that has been to the good. A smart interior and a down to earth menu so give it a try. | ||
| Little Bourton | The Plough | 01295 - 750222 |
| This pub is easy to get to as it is situated on the side of the A423 just before you go into the village of Bourton. Here you will never go hungry as they give you good sized portions; a reasonable variety on the menu and sensibly priced. | ||
| Hanwell | The Moon and Sixpence | 01295 - 730544 |
| Here is the place to go for that special occasion. Beautiful food for beautiful people! What more can I say. | ||
| Northend | The Red Lion | 01295 - 770922 |
| This pub has just reopened and it is just as good as before. A welcoming landlord who strives to please and a really good menu to satisfy. You won' be disappointed. This is a bit out of the way but a nice little car journey over the Dassett Hills will get you there. | ||
| Adderbury | The Plough | 01295 - 810327 |
| I mention this pub because it's one of my favourite so there! I don't think I have ever had a better Sunday Lunch anywhere else. They are very pleasant and their food is homemade and great tasting. To get to Adderbury you have to negotiate Banbury and get on the A423 to Oxford and Adderbury is the next village from Banbury. When you get to the traffic lights turn left to Aynho go about 1/8th of a mile and you will find The Plough just by the roadside on the right. | ||
