Coarse Angling is seeing something of a resurgence with the Section encouraging Novices to participate in Inter-Command Matches. Ie in 2006 participants averaged 12-16, whilst in 200y7 numbers have consistently reached mid/high thirties. FAA won the Inter-Command League, but the RAF won Inter-Services with the RN in 3rd place. On a positive note the RN Team came 29th out of 66 in the National Championships, an increase of 16 places on 2006 (45th).

Carp Angling continues to grow in popularity with articles on The RN Carp Sub-Section attracting positive publicity appearing in both 'Navy News' and the Angling Press.

It is hoped that funding for max six participants in the Holland International Match will be supported by Temeraire.

Temeraire Comments
